Methods and measures to solve sand sticking of gray iron castings:
1、 To improve the thickness and fire resistance of the coating, it is recommended to select the fire-resistant coating with better quality as far as possible.
2、 The casting temperature shall be controlled reasonably, and the temperature detection rod shall be used to timely detect whether the molten iron temperature reaches the castable temperature.
3、 The principle of molten metal casting at high temperature and low temperature is adopted to reduce the penetration of molten metal into the cavity.
4、 When molding around the mold, try to select fine molding sand to place molten iron penetrating the coating into the sand particles, and use molding sand with slightly larger sand particles to improve the permeability, and ensure that the molding sand is filled in place and compacted to a reasonable density.
